While on the way home from dinner this evening, C is sharing with me a conversation she had with our daycare mom about a mutual friend. This person was looking into surgery, but would not be covered by their insurance, they had an Aflac meeting at their office just today, and this person inquired if Aflac might cover the procedure they are looking to have. well they don't either.
me: "Oh, what is the procedure?"
C: "Gastric bypass."
me: "Really, OK."
C: "Yeah, It's elective."
me: "Boogie woogie woogie."
I couldn't resist, the words were out of my mouth before I could even think... Serious conversation devolves into cheap karioke in three little words.
